The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Lagos chapter, has felicitated with the newly promoted Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Abiodun Alabi who has been elevated to the position of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG).
Nigeria’s police chief, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba announced the promotion of Alabi on Tuesday and his positing to Zone 2 Command in Lagos.
Chairman of Executive Committee of Lagos SWAN, Olatutu Oladunni said the association received the news of the elevation of AIG Alabi with joy as “this is a promotion well deserved judging from the performance of Mr Abiodun Alabi when he was the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State.
“Mr. Alabi is a policeman who always stands for the truth and uncompromising professionalism, no doubt his track records speak for him. The National SWAN and Lagos SWAN commend him, and the Inspector General of Police and we wish him a good stay at the Zone 2 Police Command, Lagos,” Oladunni said.
